Yifang (Lily) Yu has chosen a career in nursing to make a positive impact in the healthcare field, specifically in the areas of geriatrics, palliative care or diabetic nursing.

Her future goals include pursuing graduate studies with the aim of bettering the nursing profession and making client care a priority. Lily credits the pandemic with giving her the drive and time away from her previous career as a polysomnography technologist to pursue the skills that will allow her to make a significant contribution to client care and alleviate the global crisis. She was pleasantly surprised and honoured to be an award recipient.
