Trisha O’Connor is completing her final course in the Master of Health Studies at Athabasca University. She is passionate about diabetes management.

To compliment her background in kinesiology, she pursued a career in nursing and in 2012 became a Certified Diabetes Educator. Trish currently holds a diabetes-focused clinical practice leadership position with a personal goal of transforming in-hospital diabetes care provision. She works relentlessly to improve the personalization, efficiency, and safety of diabetes care within this setting. She has a special interest in diabetes management in the older adult population. Trish is proudly celebrating the 100-year anniversary of the discovery of insulin.
