With previous degrees in Geography (BA, McGill) and Sustainable Energy Development (MSc, UCalgary), and 10+ years in the forestry sector, Shawn Craig is now in the final year of the second-entry BScN program at UofT.

Shawn was drawn to nursing as a mid-career shift through their own difficult experiences as an LGBTQ+ patient, seeking to be part of delivering healthcare recognizing the unique and diverse needs of marginalized communities. With a passion for harm reduction approaches to care, Shawn hopes to work in adult chronic disease management and mental health. Shawn is a passionate volunteer with the Moss Park Overdose Prevention Site, and is a choral singer with Singing Out.
