Sally Remus, Ontario Nursing Informatics Group Scholarship
Sally Remus is an accomplished nurse leader with diverse career experiences in health services, private business and government. She became intrigued by technology, wondering how it could be exploited to support quality nursing practice, benefit the citizens we serve, and support sustainable health service delivery. Pursuing her passion, Sally is a 3rd year nursing PhD student at Western, engaged in big data & data science research. Her research aims to build & validate a computational model that examines homecare risk factors. The results will be used to support ALS & MS patient preferences to remain at home. This outcome will help to avoid costly institutionalization and inform new health policy.
