Rachel Petty is a white settler living on the traditional territory of the Michi Saagig Nishnabeg in Nogojiwanong/Peterborough. Rachel is a practicing RPN and a BScN student. Rachel’s nursing practice is informed by the integrity, rigor, and love that distinguishes the HIV and Harm Reduction health sectors. As an RPN, Rachel has had the honor of working closely with those advocating for health and social justice for their communities, including sex workers, people who use drugs, people living at the intersections of homelessness and criminalization, people living with HIV, women at risk for contracting HIV and those experiencing food insecurity. Rachel is committed to elevating the visibility of the work of RPNs in nursing research and academia.
