Nicole Shipton is in her fourth year of Nursing Science at Queen’s University. She is originally from Calgary, Alberta but plans to stay in Kingston after graduation. She enjoys tutoring, mentoring, and advocating for students’ success, especially first-generation students like herself.

Outside of nursing, Nicole plays the clarinet and saxophone in several Queen’s ensembles and sings in a Kingston community choir. Nicole hopes to pursue graduate education with the goal of becoming a professor and wants to work in postpartum or critical care settings.
