Mavoy Bertram is currently a first-year doctoral student at McMaster University. She is a pediatric nurse practitioner and an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at York University. Mavoy’s research interests lie in child maltreatment prevention, adolescent pregnancy, and parenting interventions. Her dissertation research focuses on using an equity-oriented lens to examine and understand the experiences of Black adolescent mothers in parenting interventions.
