Marie-Lee Yous is a PhD in nursing student and trainee with the Aging, Community and Health Research Unit in the School of Nursing at McMaster University. Marie-Lee works as a RN on a long-term care unit and is a long-time volunteer with her local Alzheimer’s Society. Her research interests are inspired by her experiences in supporting people with dementia and their family members.

Her doctoral work is supervised by Dr. Jenny Ploeg and focuses on implementing and evaluating an adaptation of Namaste Care, a multisensory, person-centred program, for use by family and friend caregivers of persons with dementia in the community.
