Maria Pratt is a nursing PhD Student at McMaster University. The focus of her thesis is to explore the experiences of undergraduate clinical tutors dealing with and evaluating unsatisfactory students in clinical courses. She currently teaches as a part-time instructor in the School of Nursing at McMaster. She has a vast clinical nursing experience in adult critical care, emergency nursing, and medical/surgical nursing. Her long-term career goal is to become a professor and to develop a program of research focusing on nurse educators’ scholarship and pedagogy in academic and clinical settings.
