Leah Mills is a fourth-year student in the Compressed Time Frame BScN program at the University of Western Ontario.

Through her nursing degree, she has completed placements in the Obstetrical Care Unit and the Mother Baby Care Unit at Victoria Hospital & Children’s Hospital, developing her perinatal entry-to-practice competencies. Currently, her consolidation placement is on the Women’s Ambulatory floor in Maternal Fetal Medicine, providing care to clients and families experiencing complicated pregnancies and fetal abnormalities. Leah hopes to utilize her knowledge and skills developed in her nursing degree to pursue a career in maternal and neonatal nursing. She hopes to contribute to advancing clinical practices and advocating for obstetrical and neonatal clients who experience inequities.
