Lauren Easton, Jennifer Award
Lauren Easton is a second year student at Nipissing University in the Scholar Practitioner Program.
Lauren has a passion for community health and primary care, and is an advocate of trauma-informed care and its implementation in practice. She believes in recognizing the social determinants of health and working with clients where they are. Lauren has completed an array of workshops and conferences to enhance her practice, including topics related to developmental trauma, harm reduction, global health, refugee health, human trafficking, inner-city health, overdose awareness, providing care to sex workers, and supporting survivors of sexual assault. Lauren recently worked as a Research Assistant, focusing on narrative inquiry in nursing and immigrant health.
