Inspired by the nurses who cared for her when she was a patient, Kate McFarlane has been committed to a career in nursing since childhood.  Kate began her career preparation in the RPN program, and is now completing her BScN degree in Peterborough.  Recognizing the positive influence that nurses had on her when she was hospitalized, Kate hopes to work as a pediatric oncology nurse.  She knows that nurses who care for people, not just illness, can have significant impact on patients and their families.
