Karina Pelletier is a third-year nursing student pursuing her francophone BScNat the University of Ottawa.

Karina developed her passion for working with others through lifeguarding, teaching swimming, working at a summer canoe-tripping camp and mentoring her university peers. Her research activities with the University of Ottawa’s School of Nursing include an examination of resources available that support parent’s active role during their children’s hospitalization. This year, Karina attended the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association (CNSA) conference in Nanaimo, BC, sparking her interest in the environmental impact of nursing. Karina hopes to pursue a masters, specializing in pediatric care, and teaching in the clinical setting.
