Kadeen Briscoe earned an undergraduate degree in nursing from the UOIT/Durham College Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing Honours program in 2009. She has a clinical background in Level III Neonatal Intensive Care. Currently pursuing her MN at York University, her thesis is focused on investigating parents’ and nurses’ perspectives on needs of parents with infants born before the completion of 32 weeks gestation, and the association between parental needs and illness severity in the first 10 days of admission. Kadeen is passionate about education, as demonstrated by her service as a student representative on several graduate program committees and nursing interest groups.
