Jennifer Cabral is a second-year graduate student in the Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner Program (Primary Health Care and Global Health Emphasis) at the University of Toronto. She has been a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse at SickKids for over 8 years, taking on various inpatient and outpatient roles. As a clinical and research nurse coordinator, she has improved access to clinical trials for children across Canada, provided local and international multidisciplinary education on the safe administration and management of investigational agents, and ensured that clinical trials were delivered to the highest standards. As a future nurse practitioner, Jennifer hopes to enhance health outcomes for children affected by cancer, improve access to novel cancer therapies, and contribute to the advancement of pediatric oncology research.
