Jamie Dawdy, Prenatal and Parenthood Services Educational Scholarship

Jamie Dawdy is a PhD student at McMaster University School of Nursing where she received the 2016 Michael G. DE Groote Doctoral Scholarship of Excellence Award. Jamie has clinical experience in maternal-child, and neonatal intensive care. She is interested in examining the health service needs of vulnerable pregnant/parenting women and improving access to care. Her doctoral research will focus on the mental health and addiction needs of socially and economically disadvantaged women enrolled in the Nurse-Family Partnership program, exploring how best this intensive nurse-led intervention can address the complex needs of these women and their families.
