Hilary Hwu is concluding her fourth year of her BScN degree at Ryerson University. After completing a BA in Psychology at McGill University, she chose to pursue nursing to marry her passions for health sciences and compassionate care. After completing a three-month research trip studying humanization of childbirth in Brazil, she sought out a consolidation placement in the NICU to pursue her interest in maternal-infant nursing.
Hilary is keen to pursue advanced degrees in order to continue promoting the values of primary health care and health equity at both the local and global levels. In her free time, Hilary loves to bake, cook, meditate, and leads the group “Nursing Students for Social Justice” to advocate for social justice issues in our local and global communities.
