Hamed Karagahi is a second-year student in the Accelerated BScN program at University of Toronto. He is currently working as an Overdose Prevention Worker at Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre. He is passionate about harm reduction, health policy, and community-based solutions to creating a more equitable healthcare system. As a Kurdish immigrant from Iran, his approach to nursing practice is shaped by a human-rights and anti-oppressive lens which strives to create empowering care experiences for the marginalized communities whom he works with.
