Angela Koipuram, Diabetes Nursing Interest Group Research Award

Angela Koipuram is a medical/surgical nurse currently in her second year of the MScN Thesis-based Program at McMaster University. Her clinical experiences, coupled with her academics, have inspired her to explore diabetes research, particularly with high-risk populations. She is currently investigating factors influencing diabetes health promotion amongst young adult South Asians. She continues to strive for improvement in patient centred care by translating the knowledge obtained from her research into the forefront of patient care.
