Andy Tan, RNFOO Tribute Award

Andy Tan is a third year nursing student in the BScN program at Ryerson University. Drawing upon his passion for health promotion, education, and global equity, he conceptualized an initiative called Run for Righteousness which allocates long-term, sustainable resources in areas affected by poverty and injustice in Northern Uganda. He hopes to use his nursing education and knowledge to provide triage relief in developing countries but more importantly, to facilitate policy and infrastructure development to allow health care to be effective and sustainable.
