Andrew Marciniak is a first year nursing student in the collaborative BScN program at Toronto Metropolitan University and Centennial College.

He previously worked as a community and political organizer in low-income neighbourhoods for eight years, and hopes to bring his passion for social justice and serving marginalized populations to his future nursing practice. He was inspired to return to school at the ripe age of 38 by his partner, a midwifery student, and the birth of his son, now a 10 month old baby.
