Amy Wright is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, and began her PhD of Nursing at McMaster University in 2013.
Her research focuses on understanding how Indigenous mothers experience accessing health care to meet the health needs of their infants and provides important insights into improving access through influencing health policy and the provision of health care. Amy is currently working on KT strategies, including creating an online video aimed at health professionals, that will visually portray her participants’ experiences accessing health care. Hopefully this video will promote positive changes to health service delivery that will improve the health of Indigenous families. Amy is extremely grateful to RNFOO for supporting her education and research and acknowledges their contribution as essential to her success.
