Alisha D’souza is currently wrapping up her accelerated BScN at McMaster University and is excited about what the future holds for her as a new graduate nurse! She currently works clinically and non-clinically in the Haematology/Oncology and Critical Care Units respectively at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. Inspired by her sister’s experience of childhood critical illness, Alisha aims to advocate for the prioritization of child and youth health and wellbeing in policy and is currently doing so through her work with UNICEF Canada, the Young Canadians Roundtable on Health, and Campfire Circle. Passionate about leadership and transition to practice, Alisha serves as the New Graduate Advocate for the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association and maintains a strong relationship with Nursing the Future. Outside of nursing, she likes spending time outdoors and snuggling her cats.
