Alegria is a third-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student at McMaster University with a passion for advocacy, research, and critical-care nursing. She has gained research experience in diabetes management, chronic disease care, and health technology accessibility. Alegria has also volunteered with organizations focused on diabetes, brain injuries, and pediatric care. After graduating, she hopes to continue pursuing research in chronic disease management while working as a critical care nurse, eventually advancing her career in nursing research and education to improve patient care and healthcare delivery.
