Alexandra Lawrynuik is a 4th year Bachelor of Nursing Science student at Queen’s University with a passion for advocacy and evidence-based practice. Alexandra has spent the past 4 years pursuing her passions for pediatric & oncology nursing through her clinical practice, research, and volunteer experiences. Alexandra has 2 years of experience in nursing research, focused on gynecological cancer survivorship and addressing burnout in healthcare workers. She has spent hundreds of hours volunteering at a therapy farm for children with unique needs and on a pediatric critical care unit. After graduating, Alexandra hopes to continue to pursue research part-time while working as a pediatric nurse, eventually pursuing her master’s degree or nurse practitioner diploma.
