In her first year of nursing studies, Renee Shugg took part in the Global Citizenship and Equity Learning Experience in Guatemala, which assists communities in improve maternal and women’s health.

This experience led her to a professional passion for Maternal-Child Health. Since then Renee has been involved in various Maternal-Child health care opportunities and hopes to work in Labour and Delivery and the Neonatal Intensive Care area. Renee’s long-term goal is to become a Paediatric Nurse Practitioner.
