Jaimeson Canie is a second-year MScN student at Western University. She has a strong passion for social justice and health equity issues;
her research interests include public health, racism, mental health, and women’s health. Through her thesis work, she is aiming to develop a framework that can inform healthcare organizations on how to best form meaningful relationships with racialized communities. Jaimeson currently works as a lab instructor and Teaching Assistant at Western University and as a nurse in primary care and forensic mental health. She is also the Programs Co-Chair for the Iota Omicron Chapter of Sigma Nursing.
