Brianna Jackson is an MScN student at Western University with a passion for mental health and trauma- and violence-informed care.
She’s an RN working in the child and adolescent psychiatry field, and also supports several projects within Western’s School of Nursing, as both a Graduate Research Assistant and Nurse Interventionist. Brianna is currently working toward the completion of her Master’s thesis project — a small participatory study that utilizes the PhotoVoice method to explore the mental health care experiences of youth who have transitioned from paediatric to adult psychiatric services. This Fall, Brianna will begin the Nursing PhD program at Yale University, where she hopes to explore the concepts of resilience and post-traumatic growth among young survivors of relational trauma.
