Asmaa Mabrouk is a 4th year BScN student with a passion for trauma-informed care. Asmaa has been actively involved in the University of Ottawa nursing community through her work as a voting member of the Undergraduate Nursing Student Association, as an Official Delegate for the Canadian Nursing Students Association, and as Regional Conference director of the Ontario 2019 CNSA conference. Asmaa has experience working with survivors of human trafficking at an Ottawa-based NP-led clinic and has presented on the topic in multiple national nursing conferences.
Currently, Asmaa is a Policy and Relations intern for the Canadian Nurses Association and is working on the Anti-Black Racism portfolio and the mental health position statement of 2021. Asmaa hopes to become a nurse practitioner.
