Diana Mugambi is a soon-to-graduate fourth-year nursing student at Toronto Metropolitan University. After working as a PSW (personal Support Worker) in long-term care during COVID-19, Diana committed to pursuing a Bachelor of Nursing, excelling each year and earning a spot on the Dean’s List. Diana has also contributed to research as a research assistant, co-publishing work related to Black maternal mental health and perinatal loss among Black women. Diana draws on her PSW experience to inspire and guide other aspiring students toward a nursing career. Diana is passionate about nursing research and plans to pursue graduate school, where she can continue health equity-focused research.
