Rita is a second-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student at the University of Toronto (U of T). Before nursing, she studied Health Sciences at Queen’s University, where she served as President of Friday Friends, organizing weekly events for community members with disabilities. At U of T, Rita has been the Nursing Undergraduate Society’s Senior Social Coordinator. She is also an Outreach and Education Volunteer with the National Eating Disorder Information Centre, where she assist with hosting workshops across the Greater Toronto Area for school-age teens. Rita hopes to become a pediatric critical care nurse and continue advocating for youth mental health in non-psychiatric settings.
