The premier version of MFT Track moved out of development and into the testing phase. The website for the app is now live and being promoted to health care professionals through social media and through promotional materials to be used at events and visits to clinics and local physicians’ offices.
The promotion has enabled launch of a focus group of six Canadian footcare nurses who will test the app within their practice and report they results, providing valuable information to make improvements. Awareness of the app has also been created through a presentation at the CAFCN national conference, and a workshop in St. John.
Amanda reports that she was able to use the app to report to a client’s physician right away, enabling her to advocate for her own health and seek treatments and options early to prevent any negative health outcomes.
