Chelsea Masterman is currently completing a Master of Science in Nursing program at Western University. Concurrently, she is gaining increased clinical experience as Registered Nurse in the Mental Health and Addiction at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Her thesis focuses on exploring the perspectives of pregnant people living with hepatitis C virus and their encounters with stigma within the healthcare system. Chelsea’s research aims to illuminate intersectional barriers that influence women’s access to healthcare services. She aspires to use her education and clinical experience to develop innovative care models that provide women with low-barrier, stigma-free access to healthcare.
