The Registered Nurses' Foundation of Ontario Invitation to attend the Annual Gala Fundraising Dinner 2006 Nurses Celebrating Nurses / Nurses Investing in Nurses Dear Nursing Colleagues and Friends of Nursing,
On behalf on the Registered Nurses’ Foundation of Ontario, I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to attend RNFOO’s Annual Gala on Wednesday May 3rd 2006. Based on the tremendous feedback from last year’s Gala, we are returning to the beautiful Liberty Grand at Exhibition Place in Toronto.
The continued success of the Gala is realized because nurse leaders and friends make a commitment to attend and support the event. Last year’s Gala, a sold out event attended by 590 people, raised over $45,000 towards the Foundation activities. Comments from attendees highlighted that the Gala was a fun event, a great networking opportunity, and a perfect meeting place to reacquaint with colleagues and friends while contributing to future nursing scholarships.
Repeat Gala supporters use this as an opportunity to recognize front line staff and expose them to how nurses support other nurses; others use this as an event to celebrate with their nursing leadership team; others take the opportunity to sponsor other friends and colleagues across the health care community.
The Foundation relies on the very strong support from leaders such as you and we are very grateful for your on going support. Through the help of our friends and supporters, the Foundation is able to continually increase the number of scholarships and enhance their dollar value. In 2005 we were able to award over 30 scholarships totalling over $50,000.
You can help make this year’s event a great success by purchasing a table, several tables, or individual tickets. A tax receipt will be issued for a portion of the ticket price at your request. We have already begun to reserve tables and we encourage you to purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment as we expect the event to sell out again this year.
I would also like to make a special request that you ask other health care leaders in your network as well as your personal colleagues and friends to celebrate with us and support nursing scholarships.
